The 2024 WNBA season, which is highly anticipated due to the addition of former collegiate stars, will begin on May 14th. The debut game of the generational talent, former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark, will be against the Connecticut Sun.
According to the ESPN Press Room, “ESPN will utilize a WNBA Finals-level production setup for Indiana’s first game to document Clark’s debut. Comprehensive coverage will feature multiple camera angles, including Below and Above the Rim Cam viewing options, roving RF handheld cameras, and player mics.”
The game between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Suns will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be available on ESPN2, ESPN+, Disney+, and ESPN Deportes. The game will feature a top-notch WNBA broadcast team consisting of Ryan Ruocco, Rebecca Lobo, and Holly Rowe.
The second game of the night will see the Las Vegas Aces, led by iconic head coach Becky Hammon, against the Phoenix Mercury, led by veteran legend, three-time WNBA champion, ten-time All-Star, Diana Taurasi, and nine-time All-Star, Brittney Griner. The game will be called by Tiffany Greene, Debbie Antonelli, and Angel Gray.
