"Adding [Stefon] Diggs to the room, it’s going to be a lot of weapons." – Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is excited ahead of the new season

The Houston Texans may be an outlier to win the conference and based on their form last season and key acquisitions they look the real deal.

The Texans won the AFC South and beat the Browns in the playoffs and for 2024 have already signed running back Joe Mixon, wide receiver Stefon Diggs and edge rusher Danielle Hunter.

Wide receiver Nico Collins admitted the team will be more than a handful this season.

“Oh yeah, it’s going to be dangerous, real dangerous, man,” Collins told Aaron Wilson of KPRC.

“Adding Diggs to the room, it’s going to be a lot of weapons. There’s going to be great opportunities for everybody. It’s only adding more depth, more weapons to the offense, more weapons to the team. The sky is the limit for us.

“Can’t wait until the season is going to start. Man, it’s nice. I feel like the offense is a lot of weapons. Everybody has got a chance. When the ball is in their hands, an explosive play is coming. I feel like, for us, we need to continue to work on the details, continue
to be us, continue to have fun and show the world what we can do. I can’t wait for it.”

Opposition will be more wary of the Texans, and that may count against them, as the underdog status in 2023 helped them pick up a few wins. But with CJ Stroud firing and a depth of running and receiving options, Houston we may have take off.
