The Colts rookie wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will be gunning for a ten out if ten rating after selecting the number 10 as just jersey calling card.
He is wearing the number to show that there were 10 wide outs who were selected above him in the draft and ten more reasons for him to excel.
Mitchell was set to go high at the draft but slid to the bottom of the barrel going at 52 overall.
“I originally picked another number, but then I was just up late thinking about it,” Mitchell told The Athletic. “I couldn’t get it off my mind.”
His drop will only benefit the Colts and one admirer is the head coach.
“Explosive,” Colts head coach Shane Steichen called Mitchell. “You can see the size. You can see the speed. (He has) great hands.”
