Lisa Bluder Criticizes Media for Creating Unnecessary Racial Tensions Between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese

Basketball coach Lisa Bluder chastised the media for attempting to instigate racial tensions between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

In ESPN/ABC"s recently aired docuseries Full Court Press, Clark expressed her disappointment regarding the media"s focus on their rivalry rather than their personal accomplishments.

“That’s the only thing people wanted to talk about when we just went on this magical run and united so many people, and that, was frustrating to me," she vocalized.

Iowa Coach, Lisa Bluder, voiced her opinion on this matter with a standalone perspective, stating bluntly, “The media was trying to create a circus out of racial things, out of trying to make hatred come up, and she [Clark] just wouldn’t let it happen."

Lisa Bluder"s comments not only point towards the media"s persistence to fabricate needless controversies but also highlighted the unnecessary strain placed on the relationship between Clark and Reese due to these fabricated stories.

Both Clark and Reese have clarified that their rivalry is exclusively on the court and they hold no personal grudge against each other. "Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other. I want everybody to understand that. It’s just a super competitive game."

Reese defended in April before their Elite Eight rematch, aiming to shut down the media"s incessant efforts to escalate their rivalry.
