The Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard, Luguentz Dort, is one of the top prospects in the squad when it comes to defense and he often employs his incredible combination of strength and speed to reach feats.
However, the Thunder guard was chosen by Kansas City Chiefs, three-time Super Bowl champion, and three-time MVP, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were in attendance for Game 3 Oklahoma City Thunder Conference Semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks and the iconic quarterback shared his thoughts with play-play-announcer ABC’s Dave Pasch and analyst Hubie Brown.

Pasch mentioned, “Pat, unsolicited, just turned to Hubie and I and said Lu Dort could play in the NFL. I don’t know if he was kidding or serious, but he said he could play linebacker, or running back.”
To which Brown added, “Very nice compliment.”
The topic of NBA players potentially joining the NFL league was sparked by former NBA player turned ESPN analyst Austin Rivers, when he spoke regarding the skill set during “The Pat McAfee Show”. His remarks attracted attention from several personalities, including McAfee himself.
However, later, Rivers safeguarded what he had originally stated, mentioning that some NBA icons could play in the NFL.
