The Atlanta Falcons pulled a surprise move when they drafted highly rated quarterback Michael Penix Jr, but Kirk Cousins does not hold any ill feeling.
Cousins just moved to the Falcons in a mega deal from the Vikings and pundits were surprised Atlanta went so high for a quarterback.
“We’re trying to win the Super Bowl and it’s hard enough. So let’s all be on the same page and let’s go try to win the Super Bowl,” Cousins said.
Asked in Bussin with the Boys podcast if there was a hint of anger, the QB said, “No, I don’t think there can be. I don’t think it’s helpful.”
The smart move would have been for the Falcons to use their overall number eight pick on a player that would start but maybe they are bringing him in early to learn from Cousins in the 2025 season onwards.
