“He’s just fun to be around” Jayden Daniels Impresses at Washington Commanders Rookie Minicamp, Receives High Praise

The Heisman Trophy winning former LSU’s quarterback, Jayden Daniels, turned many heads during the practice session of Washington Commanders rookie minicamp, attracting several praises as well.

Commanders wide receiver, Luke McCaffrey mentioned that Daniels is a “stud” and Ben Sinnott, a tight end, added, “He’s kind of got that ‘it’ factor that you want in a quarterback.”

McCaffery continued, “I know he’s one heck of a quarterback and a lot of fun to play with from a personality standpoint. I’ve had a blast in these 24 hours with him…. He’s just fun to be around; he’s good energy.”

According to ESPN, the head coach of the Washington Commanders, Dan Quinn shared, “What you don’t see on the tape is how much this guy loves football. He works so hard at it that it’s one of the things that makes my heart smile about him is the type of competitor he is and where he goes about his business. And so he’s here early, he just goes for it, and not everybody has that trait to say I’m not going to be stopped. And so it’s really cool.”

The squad, after seeing many quarterbacks, has added Daniels to their lineup by picking him in the first round as the second pick. Commanders’ first rookie workout was attended by more than fifty media personalities, according to a spokesman for the organization. Daniels was seen giving an impressive performance.

Daniels stated, as per the NFL Network, “It was a blessing. Trying to soak it all in. This was my first NFL practice — I was focusing on practice — but just that nine-year-old kid in me realizing that his dreams came true. Now I’m here, but I still have a long way to go.”

Sinnott also shared positive thoughts on Daniel’s “arm talent” and his skillset, which allow him to complete various types of throws. He further stated that Daniels is a “natural leader” and that he “brings his teammates together”.
