Pac-12 Strikes Media Rights Deal Under New Commissioner, Teresa Gould: Fox Sports and The CW to Air Thirteen Home Games

The new commissioner of Pac-12, Teresa Gould, has agreed to a new media rights deal. The Pac-12 announced a one-year deal and thirteen home games of both Oregon State and Washington State will be aired on Fox Sports and The CW.

According to Amanda Christovich of Front Office Sports, The CW game schedule was also released by the league and Fox Sports kickoff times will be unveiled later. Fox will host two games, Oregon against Oregon State and Texas Tech against Washington State.

The media agreement is a positive step for the conference after the dissolution it faced last year. However, as per the report, the future of the network of the Pac-12 Networks is uncertain and the production facility of the league will produce all the home games for The CW.

Scott Barnes, the OSU athletic director, mentioned, “National exposure and the ability for Beaver Nation to easily access our games was a top priority during the process. Additionally, the ability to announce game times well in advance provides an improved experience for our student-athletes and fans.”

However, both OSU and WSU have made efforts to rebuild and by promoting the new commissioner, they have elevated the conference after it was in peril last year. After court settlements, both of them were given settlement fees, Pac-12 assets, and intellectual property.

As per Front Office Sports, the Pac-12 has also signed a scheduling partnership agreement with the Mountain West, West Coast Conference for basketball, and for Olympic sports as well.
