“They put their faith in the snitch” Nick Young Blames Lakers’ Season Collapse on D’Angelo Russell in Candid Interview

The NBA champion and former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard who was picked up in the first round as the 16th overall pick, Nick Young, recently shared his thoughts on Lakers season collapse and has named several reasons including D’Angelo Russell for the dissolution.

Young was picked up by the Washington Wizards and with the Los Angeles Lakers, he played from 2013 to 2017, spending four seasons with one of the famed franchises of the illustrious basketball league.

Young recently appeared on DJ’s Vlad YouTube channel and mentioned, considering Russell’s performance, “They sauteed the ham, but everybody knew it was coming. I was making fun of Ham, but the Lakers just didn’t have the staff, you know, the team depended on DLo and you know that’s just asking to lose.”

He further continued after expressing his thoughts on Lakers strategies and plays, stating, “What do you expect. They put their faith in the snitchThey put their faith in the snitch and the snitch let you down, man. They tried to come back and bring the snitch back like it was going to work this time.”

The Lakers fell again to the Denver Nuggets in the postseason and D’Angelo Russell saw his average drop. During the postseason, his average was 14.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds during five games. His shooting percentage from the field was 38.4% and from the arc was 31.8%.

The tension between both players started when Russell secretly recorded a video of Young during which he confessed he was having an affair with another woman. During that time, he was engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea. Subsequently, their engagement was broken and both players were never able to solve their differences.
