Tom Brady wasn’t a huge fan of all the jokes on his Netflix roast, specifically when it came to his family. The special, titled “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” aired in May as part of the larger Netflix Is A Joke Fest. It featured comedians like Kevin Hart, Jeff Ross, and Nikki Glaser. While Brady enjoyed the self-deprecating humor about his career and public persona, he admitted on “The Pivot” that some of the jokes about his personal life, including his split from Gisele Bündchen, crossed a line.
His concern was that these jokes might negatively impact his children. While he can take jabs in stride, he wants to shield his family from the harsh spotlight. Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen finalized their divorce in October 2022. Jokes about the split might have been particularly sensitive for their children.
Reports suggest Gisele was also unhappy with the portrayal of their family on the roast.
Tom Brady has three children from two different relationships.
John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan (16 years old): This is Brady’s eldest son, born in 2007 to actress Bridget Moynahan while Brady was still in a relationship with another woman. Brady and Moynahan have co-parented Jack throughout his life.
Benjamin Rein (14 years old) and Vivian Lake (11 years old): These are Brady’s children with his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
