On Wednesday’s NBA Draft combine, LeBron James showed up and sat in the second row for son Bronny’s second and final scrimmage of the combine.
Bronny James, at the NBA Draft Combine, showed a commonplace in his first scrimmage on Tuesday but managed to bounce back in his second chance on Wednesday. He finished with a team-high 13 points in 23 minutes for Team St. Andrews in a 90-83 win against Team Love.

He declared for the draft and entered the transfer portal on April 5, after one college season, and committed to USC last May out of Sierra Canyon School in nearby Chatsworth.
The 19-year-old, during Wednesday’s contest, had 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting, made two 3-pointers and added two steals. Bronny finished tied as the game’s leading scorer in the second of two scrimmages with 13 points in a 90-83 win for Team St. Andrews.
He also had back-to-back makes in catch-and-shoot situations early in the game, one in the mid-range and one from 3-point range, then moments later delivered a beautiful pocket pass to a cutting Alex Karaban.
In the NBA combine kicked off Monday, all the top prospects including Bronny were mandated to participate in measurements, athletic testing and drills. NBA scouts and executives in attendance witnessed some interesting developments on Day 1, including all the top lottery prospects going head-to-head in relevant drills.
In addition to finishing with a game-high–tying 13 points, LeBron’s son showed confidence in shooting from beyond the arc and good decisions dribbling into pull-ups. Wednesday marked the end of what we’ll call the “unscripted” basketball portion of the week.
