Greg Olsen is sticking with Fox for the 2024 NFL season, but he’s taking on a new role and a smaller paycheck. Reports say he’ll be the analyst for Fox’s No. 2 NFL team, paired with play-by-play announcer Joe Davis. Last season, Olsen worked with Kevin Burkhardt on Fox’s top team, but now, with Tom Brady joining as the lead analyst, Olsen’s moving to the second team.

According to sources, Olsen’s salary is dropping from $10 million to $3 million with the switch to the No. 2 team. Despite the pay cut, Olsen seems content with the move. He’s worked with Davis before, filling in when Burkhardt had MLB commitments during the baseball playoffs. So, they should have good chemistry.

There were doubts about Olsen staying at Fox after Brady’s arrival, especially with the salary decrease. But Olsen has expressed gratitude to Fox for believing in him from the start. Even though he’s exploring other opportunities, he’s sticking with Fox for now.

Brady’s arrival at Fox is a big deal. As a seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time MVP, he’s a legend in football. Now, he’s shifting into broadcasting, and fans are eager to see him in the announcing booth. Fox has already announced Brady’s first game will be between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.

While Brady’s presence may overshadow Olsen’s, Olsen’s experience on the No. 1 team will be valuable. So, despite the big changes at Fox, Olsen is staying put and ready for the new season ahead.

Tom Brady and Travis Kelce made waves after Tom Brady’s roast on May 5. During the event, Brady cracked jokes about Kelce’s girlfriend and the Kansas City Chiefs. One jab joked that the Chiefs’ stadium is so loud because it’s filled with 14-year-old girls. He also teased that the Chiefs had 50 terrible years before their recent success.

Kelce, on a recent episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” admitted he hadn’t watched the roast but ended up in tears all day after hearing about it. He brought up Brady once again during the podcast, discussing Brady’s new role as the lead analyst for Fox Sports, replacing Greg Olsen.

While chatting with his brother on the podcast, they delved into Brady’s transition from the gridiron to the commentary booth. They shared their thoughts on how Brady, the NFL’s greatest quarterback, would fare during his debut as a commentator when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.

Kelce expressed his disappointment in Fox Sports’ decision to replace Olsen with Brady but acknowledged that Brady’s superstar status likely influenced the move. He praised Olsen for his work and admitted there wasn’t much Olsen could do about it.

Brady, who retired in 2022 but later returned to the game, signed a lucrative 10-year contract worth $375 million with Fox Sports. He’ll not only serve as the lead analyst but also as an ambassador for the media company. Brady is excited about the opportunity and eagerly awaits the start of the NFL season.
