New York Giants Reveal “Century Red” Uniforms To Celebrate 100th Season With Retro Red, Blue and Khaki Look

The New York Giants are turning back the clock with a new look in 2024 that is sure to stand out.

On Thursday, the organization revealed an old school look that they will be wearing for at least two games next season. In honor of the team’s 100th season, the Giants will sport a “Century Red” uniform. The traditional look will feature a red jersey with a blue stripe running though the middle, khaki pants and red socks with another blue stripe across the middle. The uniforms will also include a “100 Seasons” patch, per the team’s official website.

The helmets will be red and blue with a winged look similar to that of the Michigan Wolverines. The Giants first sported the winged helmet between 1937-1947 and won a championship in 1938 with that style of helmet.

The Giants were one of the first teams to join the NFL back 1925. The team has won eight championships in total with four coming before the Super Bowl Era (1927, 1934, 1938, 1956) and four coming after (1986, 1990, 2007, 2011).

“The Century Red uniform puts a modern twist on some of our earliest uniforms and is worn to honor the players who laid the foundation of Giants football,” said New York Giants director of creative services Doug Murphy per ESPN.

It is still unclear when the Giants will wear the retro new uniforms but their season is set to begin on September 8 against the Minnesota Vikings in at Metlife Stadium.
