Netflix is continuing to ramp up its investment in sports related content with a series of new projects in the pipeline.

The streaming giant recently announced a three-year deal that will see them showing live NFL games on Christmas Day with two games set for his season, and at least one more in 2025 and 2026. That is obviously part of a bigger strategy to target the rapidly growing with sports market.

With the success of shows like The Last Dance, a 10-part docuseries that followed the 1990’s Chicago Bulls success and Last Chance U, a show about college students trying to make their way to the professional levels, Netflix sees potential in the rapidly growing sector.

According to sports media site Awful Announcing, there are several other documentaries in the works.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the biggest franchises on the planet and Netflix has acquired the rights for a docuseries about the history of the team.

Netflix is also working on a Olympics based docuseries called Sprint and a multi-epsiode series about US gymnast Simone Biles. There is also a documentary on the USA Olympics basketball that is set to be released in 2025 in partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
