The Atlanta Falcons announced they have released outside LB Ade Ogundeji after an injury strewn 2023 season.

The linebacker enjoyed top notch 2021 and 2022 seasons after being drafted in the fifth round.

In his rookie year if 2021 he made 11 starts, recording 33 tackles, two quarterback hits, a sack, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery.

In 2022 he only missed one game, starting in the other 16. He made 42 tackles and two sacks.

Much was expected of him in 2923 but he suffered a foot injury and training camp camp was place on the injured list for the entire year.

The Falcons now have an 89 man roster, while DE Kenny Oginni does not count towards the 90 as he is deemed an international player.

The Falcons will likely go for a like for like replacement in another linebacker, but fans will have to wait a while longer to hear who will make up the full training camp roster.
