The NFL has several media partners they work with and in 2021 announced that Amazon Prime would be an exclusive partner for their Thursday Night Football package. League ratings continue to grow at an incredible rate and the streaming giant will be excited about the upcoming slate for 2024. With the NFL schedule’s now released, Amazon has some exciting games that should see massive viewership figures.
Amazon will show 16 live games this season and 12 of those will be inter-division rivalry matchups. That should provide fans with plenty of blockbuster games and important matchups that could have playoff implications.
The first game on the platform will be between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins on September 12 in Florida.
Four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers will make his highly anticipated 2024 home debut at the MetLife Stadium against the New England Patriots on September 20th.
Amazon will return to the MetLife Stadium the following week for a historic rivalry between the New York Giants will Dallas Cowboys on Week 4.
There will also be three blockbuster AFC North rivalry games with the Cincinnati Bengals versus Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers versus Cleveland Browns and Browns versus Bengals all on Amazon.
One of the other matchups that stands out is the Denver Broncos versus New Orleans Saints game in Week 7, with coach Sean Payton returning to face the team he won a Super Bowl with.
The only non-divisional games on the 16 game schedule will feature the Denver Broncos versus the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings versus Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans versus New York Jets and the Seattle Seahawks versus the Chicago Bears.
Overall, it is a pretty exciting slate for the team at Amazon. The full 16-game schedule can be seen here.
