“I woke up a few times last couple weeks with sore necks,” – former Bills stalwart Micah Hyde is a free agent, and while he still feels pain, he admits he would pull on the Buffalo uniform again

Micah Hyde, the former Buffalo Bills safety is a free agent after being cut by the team.

Hyde has been in Buffalo for the past seven seasons and played a signify tournament role in the team’s AFC final run.

He played in 14 games and was part of the defensive snaps in 92% of the plays for coach Sean McDermott defense last season.

“I just want to be healthy,” Hyde told WIVB 4 at his charity softball game on Sunday. “I’m enjoying my time with the family. And if there’s a case where I can get back on the football field, I would love to do it.

“Especially in this uniform, in front of these fans. It would mean the world to me and my family to be able to do that. But you know, it’s a way away. I woke up a few times last couple weeks with sore necks.”

He may yet return to the Bills this season, but he will do so without his long-time fellow safety Jordan Poyer, who has signed for the Dolphins.

The pair shared the same field Sunday to raise money for Hyde’s Imagine for Youth Foundation, which has raised more than $625,000.

Whether Hyde remains a Buffalo player or not, the Bills Mafia will always hold him in high regard.
