Jerod Mayo praises Brian Belichick’s commitment to the Patriots

At Tom Brady"s recent roast, it wasn’t just awkward for Brady’s children, it was also somewhat uncomfortable for Brian Belichick, one of Bill Belichick"s sons.

Despite the ongoing tension between Bill Belichick and the Patriots, exacerbated by a controversial 10-part Apple documentary that portrayed the legendary coach in a negative light, Brian remains dedicated to the team. He continues in his role as the Patriots" safeties coach.

Jerod Mayo, the Patriots" new head coach, addressed questions on Monday about how Brian has been managing the recent changes.

“True professional," Mayo commented.

“Any time you see your dad and your brother go somewhere else, the natural thing would be to go with them. But he is a New Englander. He is a Patriot. I am happy to have him. I know [defensive coordinator] DeMarcus [Covington] is happy to have him as well. I think he is a great coach, and I still think he has room to grow. He has really taken it by the horns and worked on his development. So, [I’m] excited to have him."

Brian Belichick has been with the Patriots for seven years and is now entering his fifth year as safeties coach. He is an alumnus of Trinity College, where he graduated in 2016.

Despite the familial shifts, Brian"s dedication to the Patriots remains steadfast, reinforcing his commitment to the team’s legacy and future.
