First Trailer for Sonic Live-Action Movie Released

Now, as a long time fan of the game franchise, from classic to modern outings, I wouldn’t say this movie is for me. It looks very much to be similar in style to recent live-action CG hybrid movies like the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise so if you enjoyed those, you might enjoy this.

The high points of the trailer for me were probably Jim Carrey as the titular Sonic villain: Robotnik and the humor seemed to be alright. Low points were Sonic’s lack of emotion in his face and the trailer song choice.

Gangsta’s Paradise? Really? Rambling aside, the movie looks to be average at best and a dumpster fire at worst. I’m still going to see it on November 8th, regardless because I need to see how it’ll turn out, morbid curiosity.
