The UFC makes its return to Vancouver, after a successful excursion to Abu Dhabi, in which we witnessed, yet another, dominant display by Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0). Khabib dominated, in his title defence, against Dustin Poirier (25-6), before submitting the American in the third round with a rear-naked choke. UFC fight night 158 will be headlined by Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and Justin Gaethje, in a lightweight class that promises to be a fight of the year contender.
UFC Cowboy vs. Gaethje Team Picks
Introduction
Main event

The main event in Vancouver is a lightweight showdown, which promises fireworks, between Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone (36-12) and Justin Gaethje (20-2). Cowboy comes into this fight on the back of a loss, via doctor stoppage, to Tony Ferguson (25-3). Whereas, Gaethje will enter the cage on a two-fight win streak, after knocking out both James Vick (13-4) and Edson Barboza (20-8) in the first round.
Co-main event

The co-main event will see Glover Teixeira (29-7) take on Nikita Krylov (26-6), in the light heavyweight division. Teixeira will enter the cage with high hopes, after winning his last two fight by submission. Teixeria submitted Karl Roberson (8-2) and Ion Cutelaba (15-4) in the first and second round respectively. Krylov, on the other hand, will be looking to extend his win streak after submitting Ovince St. Preux (23-13) during the second round in his last bout.
