The Chicago Bears in week 2 visited their old good friend Vic Fangio and left victorious with an exciting 16-14 win. Former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio received his first head coaching position at Denver this season and is off to a 0-2 start. However, his calling card defense, has slightly improved scoring-wise. Last year Denver gave up 21.81 per game, and currently giving up 20 per game.
Unbelievable ending
With Chicago’s defense wearing down the Broncos were finally able to punch in a touchdown to make it 12-13 in the final minute. Fangio decided to go for 2 and this is where the fun started. A penalty by the Broncos pushed them back 5 yards, so they decided to kick the extra point. And then Buster Skrine’s problem in New York was penalties, raised it’s ugly head for Chicago as he was offsides when Denver missed the extra point. By rule, Denver was then able to move back up to the 2-yard line to try for 2 points again. Unfortunately for Da Bears fans, Flacco was able to hit Sanders for the 2 point conversion.
Trubisky and the offense which struggled all day took the field. Helped by a much questioned roughing the passer penalty on Bradley Chubb, Chicago was able to move up 15 yards to the 45-yard line and then on fourth down Trubisky threw his best pass of the day as he hit Allen Robinson over the middle of the field at the 36-yard line. Now, even more drama ensued as the clock hit 0:00, but Chicago was awarded a time out with one second remaining. Already 2 for 2 on the day Eddy Pineiro would run on the field. He would connect on a 53-yard field goal to make Chicago victorious! Eddy was quoted after the game. “If you don’t believe in God you better start believing he’s REAL thank you Chicago!”

Moving Forward
To reach the playoffs, both teams will have to improve offensively. Joe Flacco has shown the ability to throw the deep ball and make a deep playoff run but needs to improve in the red zone. For, the Bears to continue being victorious, they will need much better play out of Trubisky and to really find an identity on offense. Are they going to be innovative and confuse the defense? Are they going to go ground and pound? Ride or die with Trubisky improvising? The offense coming through in the clutch is a good sign, and hopefully gives them some confidence going forward.
