Lio Rush vs Drew Gulak to start NXT

Gulak rolls to the outside, and Lio dives onto him, and follows it up with a moonsault!!!

Back inside, Gulak takes control by delivering a crushing clothesline that gets him a two count.

The champ starts working on Lio"s left arm, but he tries to fight back with strikes, kicks and chops.

Drew fights back himself with some chops, and slams Rush to the mat.

Gulak sets Lio on the top rope, and is looking for a suplex to the outside.

This move is countered and Gulak falls to the outside, however, Lio takes too much time in countering, and the champ knocks him off the apron with a kick.

After commercial break, the challenger is in control, and he is unloading kicks onto the champions chest.

He tries to land a third kick, but Gulak flips him and lands a huge lariat for a two count.

Lio tries to fight back and tries the second rope stunner, but Gulak locks in the Philadelphia stretch, and this looks to be over.

Somehow, Lio powers out and locks a submission of his own!! Drew finds a way to flip it around into the cyclone crash, 1,2, nooo

We get a this is awesome chat from the NXT Universe, while Gulak sets Lio up on the top rope.

Superplex attempt by the champion, but Lio blocks it and knocks Gulak off, and follows with a frog splash!!!

Rush goes back to the top rope and hits the final hour!! 1…2…3… and we have a NEW NXT Cruiserweight champion!

Post Match & Comments

William Regal is in the ring and he tries to put the belt around Lio, but Gulak comes in and takes it away from him.

After a brief taunt, Gulak hands him the belt and they both shake hands.

Very fun match, that shows why Lio deserves to be champion.

However, I am a huge Drew Gulak fan, and he has done wonders since he has been champion.

It seems he is in the list to get drafted to Raw or Smackdown, so I am guessing they took the belt off him, so he could go to one of the main shows.

Maybe a la Buddy Murphy and Ali!

Congratulations to Lio and Welcome back!!

Rhea Ripley is NXT!

This is my brutalityyyy!! Rhea the nightmare is here, and she is set to take on Aliyah in singles action.

Match starts and Aliyah uses her nails and scratches Rhea"s back, big mistake, as this makes Ripley snap.

She lands a dropkick and then closes the leg submission on Aliyah, and proceeds to spin her around.

Rhea turns the move into a slam, but does not let go of the submission hold.

Aliyah has no choice but to tap out!

Vanessa Borne tries to get in the ring to avenge her friend, but quickly changes her mind.

Ripley takes the mic and tells Shayna that she accepts that she has beaten everyone, except HER!

“Shayna, I am coming for you!!!"

I really can"t wait for this match, it is going to be amazing.

If they are finally going to send Shayna to Raw or Smackdown to face Becky, this is the person who should take the title away from her.

Rhea brings another powerful presence to the title and can go on a monster run like Baszler has.

It looks like Aliyah and Bourne have unfortunately turned into jobbers, as they have lost several matches in a row.

Hope they get back to their winning ways soon.

NXT is forgotten!

Lights go out and Breezango is here!

Fandango wants to stay with one of the female construction workers, but Breeze pulls him away.

They are set to face Ever-Rise, but out comes Jaxson Ryker, and he has taken both of them out.

Here come the Forgotten sons, who have some unfinished business with Breezango.

Cutler and Blake are now their new opponents.

Match starts and Cutler is quickly in control and kicks Breeze in the corner, while the NXT Universe chants “Stay forgotten"

Good tandem offense by the forgotten sons, that leads to a two count, and we get a commercial break.

Back from commercial and Breeze makes the hot tag and Fandango filled with energy starts taking everybody out.

He hits a sunset bomb and goes to the top rope to take out Ryker. This allows enough distraction for the Forgotten sons to connect with the memory remains:

1,2,3 this match is over!

Comments

Very quick match to make the forgotten sons look very intimidating and as contenders.

Unfortunate that it is at the expense of Breezango.

I would actually like to see them split up and go their separate ways.

Tyler Breeze was doing some good things as a singles competitors in his return to NXT.

That match against the Dream was very good.

Let"s see what they have in store for them in the future.

Cameron Grimes vs Boa

Very quick match with Grimes pointing to the ramp, that distracts Boa and allows Cameron to connect with the knees to the face and get the win.

Post Match & comments

Killian Dane comes down to the ring and he destroys Boa with two vader bombs and throws him at the announcer table.

He then screams that it is only the beginning

I really enjoy Killian Dane, and can"t wait to see where this is going.

Cameron Grimes does nothing for me at the moment.

He was very interesting during his time at Impact Wrestling, but I really do not get his character here.

That"s three wins in a row for Grimes, who are they building him up for?

Roderick Strong vs Isaiah Swerve

• 

They quickly lock in and Swerve locks in a submission, however the champ gets out after rolling around.

Swerve then lands a jumping side kick and gets a quick two count.

Chops and rights hands, and he hits a cartwheel splash on Strong and gets another two count.

The champ finally comes back with some chops of his own and has taken control of the match.

He tries a slam, but Isaiah connects a ranna and a double leg drop kick.

This leads to an exchange of kicks, chops and strikes, which makes Roderick get upset, and he picks up Swerve and hits a backbreaker body drop.

However, this is not enough as they continue to exchange caps and strikes, Swerve even hits a lariat, and tries to follow up with a kick, but gets another back breaker from Strong.

Roderick goes back to his chopping ways, and connects with another backbreaker.

Back from commercial break and Swerve uses some kicks and punches to knock the champion down!

He lands a couple of lariats and a uppercut in the corner and connects with an elbow from the top.

And here comes the Undisputed era

We see Swerve connecting with a super kick and he follows with a top rope DDT for another two count.

He then lands a German suplex, a flatliner and a kick to the face. 1…2… no!

Swerve sweeps Strong"s legs and leaves him hanging from the bottom rope, and jumps on top of him with a double stomp, MAMMA MIA!!

This leads to an NXT Chant

However, Undisputed Era distracts Isaiah, which allows the champ to hit a knee to the face.

Strong follows up with the psycho knee and the end of heartache, before locking in the strong hold.

Isaiah Swerve has no choice but to tap out

Post Match and comments

Adam Cole grabs the mic and asks the NXT Universe to give it to Swerve.

Cole says that he is good, he will admit that, but not at the level of Strong.

“I love NXT, we have the best of the best, and it is about seeing who can measure up to the Undisputed Era"

“That is why Balor and Ciampa returned, because they want to fulfill this unrealistic dream of dethroning the UE.

“Excuse me? Did Somebody say Dream? Cole is cut by the Velveteen Dream who appears on screen.

In two weeks time, Roderick Strong gets to experience the dream once again, in an NXT North American Title Match!

“And when the Dream strips you of your title, the world will see, why you just don"t measure up"

Ciampa"s music hits, he wants Goldie!

He has the crutch with him, and quickly grabs a chair.

The Undisputed Era empties the ring.

“Goldie!! Daddy is home!"

This just keeps getting better and better. Strong vs Dream and Cole vs Ciampa.

I love NXT!

Match starts and Dakota lands a kick and a double stomp that takes Belair to the outside.

She follows up with a kick to the face and gets a near fall.

Belair counters and sends Kai into the turnbuckle and drives her elbow into her ribcage.

Bianca picks up Dakota and starts mini squatting and drops her with a slam. Gut buster, and we get another near fall.

Back from commercial break and Kai is in control, she connects with a back kick and knocks Belair down.

Clotheslines and a drop kick by Dakota, who jumps to the outside, grabs Bianca"s legs, turns her around and connects with a kick to the face.

Ax Kick from Kai, and she is doing the running kick, connects, and gets a two count.

Dakota hits a double knee on the chest for another near fall.

Kai picks Bianca up, but she counters back with a double chicken wing face-first drop.

She quickly follows with a standing shooting start press!!! 1,2, no!

Frustration is seen on Bianca"s face and she is now setting up a power bomb, but Kai counters into a roll up and gets a two count.

Kai goes for a kick to the face, but Belair counters with a forearm and out of nowhere hits the KOB and this is over!

Belair grabs the mic and says “I heard what Rhea said earlier, she thinks she is going to be the one to defeat Shayna"

“But girl, naaah! if somebody wants a piece of Shayna, they have to go through me, the EST!"

This was a very good match, with a lot of innovative moves.

Dakota Kai is looking great, almost no ring rust!

Bianca vs Rhea, what a rivalry and what a match the NXT universe is going to get.

This also allows Shayna vs Rhea to be placed on hold until the next Takeover.

I wonder who she will face in the meantime?

Maybe somebody from Raw or Smackdown who becomes a free agent. Could it be a former NXT star?

Walter vs Kushida

• 

They lock up but Walter throws Kushida across the ring.

Kushida goes for the ankle, but Walter locks him down, however he manages to reverse the hold.

He taunts Walter and connects a chop and a dropkick to send him to the outside.

Walter tries to get back in, but is met with a drop kick, he tries again, with the same result. We go to commercial break

Back from break and Kushida has taken Walter off his feet, he goes to the top rope, but trips, and is met with a huge kick to the face.

The champion grabs Kushida and locks in a single leg submission, but is broken up by the ropes.

And here we go! CHOP! by Walter! and he connects with two more and Kushida is down!

Walter picks Kushida up, but he counters with some right hands

Powerbomb time! Walter goes for his finisher, but Kushida turns it into a DDT!!

The NXT Universe is going wild, as Kushida goes to the top rope and lands a tomahawk chop that takes Walter down

However, Walter counters by attempting a chop, but Kushida catches it and slams the arm on the ropes.

Kushida goes for a sunset power bomb, but is overpowered and receives a boot to the face.

Walter grabs him like a rag doll and tries to close a headlock, but Kushida fights back with kicks.

The champ counters with chops, but Kushida powers up! This upsets Walter who runs into the post.

Kushida takes him down and connects a DDT from the apron onto the floor! We get an NXT Chant from the Universe.

Back in the ring and Kushida connects with an overhead kick, and locks a variation of the Kimura.

Walter is able to break the grip, and counters with a sleeper hold, this looks to be over.

The ref checks on Kushida, but he makes it to the ropes and rolls Walter with a bridge for a two count.

However, Walter is able to once again lock in the sleeper, that somehow Kushida counters into the Kimura!

The NXT UK champion overpowers the move and gets out, he picks up Kushida, but gets rolled up for another two count

Kick by Kushida, but Walter counters with a kick of his own, and follows up with a german release suplex and a half nelson pump handle slam.

1….2…. no!!!

What a match!

Walter is headed to the top rope, but Kushida kicks him and connects with some right and left elbows.

He locks in the arm submission in the corner, and throws himself down from the top rope with Walter and keeps the HoverBoardLock! Mamma MIA!!!!

Walter is in trouble!!!

He somehow reaches the ropes, and another NXT chant fills the air!

Drop kick by Kushida, but Walter counters with a chop.

Fury of kicks to the face by Kushida and he goes for the arm once again, but is knocked down with a shotgun dropkick by Walter.

The NXT UK champ hits the power bomb and this one is over.. 1…. 2…. NO!!!

Kushida has kicked out!!! " You are not dreaming Nigel!! This is awesome!"

Walter cannot believe what he is seeing, he quickly picks up Kushida, hits a huge lariat, and gets the win.

What a match!

NXT once again delivered!

Walter seems like someone who is going to hold on to that title for a very long time, unless we get a surprise return like Cesaro or EC3 maybe.

Kushida has the look of a superstar! There are a lot of challengers to Adam Cole"s title, but in the meantime, there are a lot of interesting feuds for him.

Next week we get Ciampa vs Angel Garza! this could be an awesome match.

Hope it is not a complete squash by Ciampa.
