Packers Sign Veteran Wide Receiver

The Green Bay Packers have signed free agent wide receiver Ryan Grant. The Packers bring him in as they are down Davante Adams (foot) and Geronimo Allison (concussion). Grant will be joining Marquez Valdes-Scantling and a group of four undrafted free agents. This is Grant’s 6th season in the league, making him the most veteran receiver on the active roster. To make room for Grant, the Packers have released running back Tra Carson.

Brian Gutekunst Is Making Moves

The former 5th round pick in 2014, played his first four years with the Washington Redskins, where he accumulated 985 yards on 84 receptions. He played in all 64 games in those four years. He had a good season with the Colts in 2018, where he finished with 35 receptions for 334 yards and a touchdown. Although he signed a deal with the Oakland Raiders in April, he was released after only two weeks.

  • Before signing with the Indianapolis Colts, he actually signed with the Baltimore Ravens on a four year deal worth $29 million with $14.5 million guaranteed. Unfortunately, he failed his physical and the deal was voided.
  • Grant appeared in 14 games for the Colts, with a career-high, 10 starts.
