The frontcourt decreases with the two roster moves, as it will look the same as last year’s Cavs. A healthy Kevin Love is essential to hold together a subpar forward/center group. Ante Zizic is currently out with a left foot injury. Frontcourt depth will likely be an issue for Cleveland, with John Henson also not ready to start the season.
The Cavaliers also claimed forward Tyler Cook, who was recently cut by the Denver Nuggets. The roster stands at seventeen right now, with two players on 2-way contracts. Cleveland has also been rumored as a potential team to sign forward Alfonzo McKinnie.
Cleveland is very guard-heavy right now, but as the roster takes shape, there is a balance forming. Rotations are going to be questionable for the first few games, as they try to figure things out. Cleveland’s new team will play Wednesday at Orlando.
