Start of the Week: Baker Mayfield vs Miami Dolphins
Baker Mayfield has been wildly inconsistent this year as a quarterback play. While his maddening performances may have landed him in the waiver wire, his play of late has improved considerably. Mayfield has produced seven total touchdowns 942 total yards over the last four weeks. His fantasy scores are trending up, and have improved in each of the last four weeks.
Mayfield and the Browns welcome in the Miami Dolphins in Week 12. The Dolphins sport a weak secondary replete with undrafted free agents, as well as a weak pass rush. Miami surrendered four total touchdowns to quarterback Josh Allen of the Bills last week.
Other Good Starts:
- Ryan Tannehill vs Jacksonville Jaguars
- Matt Ryan vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Jeff Driskel at Washington Redskins
Sit Of The Week: Mason Rudolph at Cincinnati Bengals
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph was in the news this week because of his role in the brawl with Cleveland. He took a helmet-shot to the head from Myles Garrett, but that was after his terrible performance.
Rudolph has been the quintessential game-manager for the Steelers. And last week against the Browns, Rudolph largely lost that game for Pittsburgh. The quarterback completed 23-of-44 passes for 221 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in a 21-7 loss. He struggled to move the ball in the game and took four sacks.
Despite the seemingly favorable matchup against the winless Bengals, Rudolph is a player to sit. Cincinnati isn’t terrible on defense. They played well in a 17-10 loss to Oakland in Week 11. Cincinnati forced two turnovers, picked up three sacks and allowed the fewest points in a game this season.
Other Good Sits:
- Brandon Allen at Buffalo Bills
- Jared Goff vs Baltimore Ravens
- Dak Prescott at New England Patriots
