UFC Washington, D.C Main Card – Team Picks.

The new main event of the evening includes Jairzinho Rozenstruik stepping in to take on the 61 fight veteran in Alistair Overeem.

After not breaking a sweat in his bout v the highly experienced Andrei Arlovski at UFC 244 in New York; Rozenstruik made light work after knocking out the former UFC heavyweight champion in round 1. Overeem was scheduled to fight Walt Harris but devastating circumstances have caused Rozenstruik step in.

Rozenstruik (9-0) is a heavy hitting striker who is 3-0 in the UFC. His performances have been impressive recording eight KO’s/TKO and going the distance just the once. You have to think this gives him all the confidence in the world to go in and compete with Overeem.

Overeem (45-17) on the other hand has seemed to hit the ground running again. Losing back to back fights with Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes he has now turned it around currently on a two fight win streaking defeating both Sergei Pavlovich and Alexey Oleynik by TKO in round 1.

Here at Overtime Heroics. The MMA team is going to start a league table based on results of each fight over 6 months periods.

Each member will predict the outcome (either win or loss) of each fight on the card. If predicted correctly the team member will then gain three points and the tally will be added at the end of every UFC event. After the 6 month period the team member with the highest amount of points will be the winner.

Nothing like some friendly competition between the team.
