Well. Glad that’s over. It was an ugly game for the LA Lakers once the midway point in the first quarter arrived. The Lakers raced out to an early 8-0 start, promptly giving their fans false hope. Kemba Walker has been 0-28 going against LeBron James. I’m sure you’ve already know that’s. It’s been the most overused stat of the night. So of course I had to use it as well. Moving on. We know that they like to start out slow. That’s nothing new. What’s disheartening is the fact that they simply get too complacent with being used to come back from behind on big leads.
LA Lakers Poor Defensive play
Yeah. The above tweet basically sums it al up. Rotations were off, and the hell defense was non existent tonight. Extremely uncharacteristic of the Lakers. Consequently, the Lakers didn’t play their usual stout, suffocating defense. Boston Celtics enjoyed the opportunity of going against missed assignments, wide open shots, and poor rebounding. Enes Kanter turned in a game that Lakers fans hoped to see from their star returning big man, Anthony Davis. Playing on minutes restrictions, it seemed like he never really found his stride.
LA Lakers Poor offensive play

It seemed like the Lakers just couldn’t get into a nice groove that they’ve enjoyed as of late as well. Whether it was missed shots, or missed layups at the rim, they just couldn’t buy a bucket. Once being down 31, which is the biggest deficit the L.A. Lakers have had all season, they struggled from just about every aspect of the offense imaginable.
Looking ahead
So. The bad news. LA Lakers lost to the dreadful, horrible, good for nothing Boston Celtics. The good news? They will play the dreadful, horrible, good for nothing New York Knicks next on Wednesday night. I say this respectfully, there’s not a team in the world that you’d want to play next more than the Knicks after suffering a blowout. Sitting at 12-32, and 2-8 in their last 10, the LeBron and company lwill hope to scrap this game, and get back on track.
