Green had been sitting out for several weeks after being released by the Utah Jazz. Green has provided the Rockets with more size upfront while also providing shooting from deep from the center position. With Green signed for the rest of the year, the Rockets rotation and roster is now set.
Jeff Green initially only sign a 10-day contract to see if he would be a good fit with the Rockets. Through three games Green is 10-12 from the field and has fit perfectly within the Rockets system.
Green has provided depth at the backup center position and had helped limited P.J. Tuckers minutes from almost 36 a game down to 30 minutes the last few games.
