The 2020 NFL Scouting Combine has arrived Broncos Country! Time for us to overreact, undervalue, and over evaluate this year’s draft prospects. The Denver Broncos have the 15th pick in the upcoming NFL draft. Who will John Elway and Vic Fangio choose with their first-round selection? This week’s combine will bring us closer to that answer!
Sure, it’s exciting to measure how strong or fast a player is. Of course a player’s vertical jump can point to the chances of him winning a jump ball. But, how well does that player process information? How does he “see” and “read” the field? Game tape is still the best method when evaluating a player’s strengths and weaknesses. Measurables don’t always have an impact on the outcome of a football game. With all of that said, here are my top three prospects to keep an eye on at the scouting combine. Could the Broncos draft one of these guys?
Tristan Wirfs |OT| Iowa

Wirfs would be a perfect match with Denver. The Broncos are desperate to find stability at both tackle positions. I believe Tristan can provide exactly what the Broncos need. Wirfs can fit snugly in Denver’s zone run scheme. With Mike Munchak as his coach, Wirfs could learn to be a more consistent pass blocker. Gifted athletically, with a durable lean frame, Tristan can move bodies in the run game.
CeeDee Lamb |WR| Oklahoma

What isn’t there to LOVE about CeeDee Lamb? He possesses agility and quickness at an elite level. Lamb’s ability to run after the catch is something special and truly unique. If he somehow falls to the Broncos at 15, then how in the world do they not draft him? This dude is an absolute game-changer! I am anxious to see how Lamb tests this week at the combine. He would surely be fantastic looking in that Mile High orange and blue!
Kristian Fulton |CB| LSU

One thing is for certain, Fulton is battle-tested.
Whether Chris Harris Jr. resigns with the Broncos or not, Denver still needs a cornerback. Kristian Fulton should be available for the Broncos to select. How would he fit in Vic Fangio’s defense? One thing is for sure, Kristian Fulton is battle-tested and winning approved. For LSU, week in and week out, this young man faced fierce competition. From time to time, Kristian would get beat on a deep ball. Then he comes right back and makes an impactful play in a critical moment. I appreciate his guts, courage, and how he plays the cornerback position with an edge.
Let’s watch closely, Broncos Country! How will Wirfs, Lamb, and Fulton show up and show out at the combine? Who do you have your eye on?
