This is the Co-main event preview for UFC Fight Night 169 Spencer VS Fairn Dos Santos, Which takes place February 29 at Chartway arena in Norfolk Virginia. This is a showcase in the Women’s Featherweight division.
Felicia Spencer
Spencer is 7-1 in her young career and 1-1 in the UFC, and boy was she thrown into the deep end. In her very first fight, she took on the highly-touted Megan Anderson and surprised everyone with a rear-naked choke victory. Spencer showed her heart and durability against arguably the greatest female fighter of all time in Cris Cyborg. It was a unanimous decision loss, where Spencer showed her toughness standing toe to toe with the devastating striker. Spencer could easily be the future of a very thin Female featherweight division, she is a young and very talented fighter who has a test in front of her in Zarah Fairn Dos Santos.

Zarah Fairn Dos Santos
Farin Dos Santos is 6-3 and 0-1 in the UFC. In her debut fight, she faced Megan Anderson, in which she lost via triangle choke in the first round. Do not let that loss fool you though, Dos Santos is a tough rangy striker who uses her height to deploy devastating knees and elbows from the clinch. Dos Santos is a fun featherweight to watch. She is a volume striker that always comes with forward momentum and with Spencer as her opposition we should see some sparks!
Bottom Line
This fight is a bit of a sleeper, but it has all the ingredients for a fun grappler vs striker matchup. Spencer brings a fun hard-nosed fighting style into this fight, with Dos Santos bringing an exciting volume-oriented striking game. This is not an easy fight for either woman. Spencer is strong and versatile and Dos Santos is tall and dangerous at range. They both present very different challenges for one another. Expect bell to bell action if it doesn’t end early!
