Rochester stop rescheduled for this summer
Next week’s broadcast in Rochester, N.Y. has been postponed after Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency Thursday afternoon. This included a ban on events with 500 or more people, according to a report from PW Insider’s Mike Johnson.
Josh Nason from Wrestling Observer reported that AEW will have to make a difficult decision regarding Wednesday’s broadcast. AEW officials can either relocated the show to another location or cancel the broadcast altogether. Currently, AEW still intends to hold a show, with further information pending. It may potentially be an empty arena show at Daily’s Place in their corporate headquarters of Jacksonville, Fla., according to speculators on Twitter.
A potential reschedule for AEW’s New York debut at the Blue Cross Arena is for July 8, according to Nason.

The venue was to be the home of the ‘Blood and Guts’ themed broadcast of Dynamite. Currently, there is no report from AEW as to when the venue could be rescheduled.
The news comes out as WWE canceled their stop in Detroit for Friday Night Smackdown in favor of broadcasting live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
