Jordan Howard has a new home. The Pro Bowl running back signed a deal to join the Miami Dolphins who seem to be adding just about everyone in free agency. According to Adam Schefter, they reached an agreement on a two-year deal for $10 million.

As a rookie, Jordan Howard carried the ball 252 times for 1,313 yards and six touchdowns for the Chicago Bears. This performance in 2016 earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl. After a coaching change with Matt Nagy coming in, Jordan Howard regressed greatly in the new style of offense. As a result, Nagy wanted a running back that could not only run the zone offense but could also catch the ball in the backfield.
In 2019, Howard spent the season in Philadelphia after being traded by the Bears. Howard showed flashes, but once again struggled in a system requiring a receiving running back. Therefore, Howard watched his role slowly diminish to rookie running back Miles Sanders. Now, Howard is in Miami and hopes to get back to what he once was in Chicago: a workhorse, power back. Unfortunately, the Dolphins may also add another running back via the NFL Draft.
