LA Lakers last offseason kept them prime for a post season run to the Finals. Now that the season is in disarray they will need to concentrate on key free agents that they need to sign.
LA Lakers number one priority – Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis was the missing ingredient that they been needing. This season he kept it out on the court. His stats include 26.7 points a game, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists which makes him arguably a top five player.
Anthony Davis has a player option worth 28.8 million dollars which he is expected to decline. Being a top five player will left him up to a max deal contract that he will be looking for. The Chicago Bulls might give him an offer in the offseason but expect the Lakers to win out.
Dwight Howard

Next the Lakers have to look at backup Center Dwight Howard. He will become a restricted free agent by this summer’s free agency period. He signed a 1-year prove yourself deal for 2.6 million dollars. Howard did prove himself as he had a very consistent role off the bench. He scored 7.5 points a game, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and shot 73% from the floor.
Dwight Howard has been shown a massive incline in his shooting percentage. In the last four seasons he was averaging around 60% therefore 73% is a massive improvement. He is a must sign due to his improved technique in the restricted zone and his defense.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

The most surprising player is guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He has a 8.5 million dollar player option this summer. He could be opting out and try to get a long term deal for as much money due to his play.
Pope has been a good defender but he really excelled this year shooting the three point shot. He collected 9.5 points a game, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and shot 39.4% at the 3-point arch.
Javale McGee

Javale McGee is the starting Center which has a player option at 4.2 million dollars this summer. Chances are he will not decline this offer due to the market value for Centers of his caliber. He splits minutes with Dwight Howard and is still more reliable as a starter. He averages 6.8 points a game, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 64% from the field.
LA Lakers conclusion
There are six other players that having contracts expiring but these four are very important. It is obvious that they sign Anthony Davis to his max contract. The Lakers have no Centers and both these Centers will be coming at cheap prices. Then they have to keep their best three point shooter.
