Dallin Leavitt did not have the easiest route to securing himself a roster spot for the Las Vegas Raiders. Leavitt was signed to the Raiders’ active roster on December 24, 2019. Before this, he was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2018. Initially, he waived by the team on September 1, 2018 and signed to the practice squad the following day. Leavitt spent his first 2 collegiate seasons at BYU. During his time there, he recorded a total of 60 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. After his 2 years at BYU, Leavitt transferred to Utah State. During 2016 in his redshirt junior season, Leavitt played in 8 games racking up 57 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and a team-high 3 interception. Later, in his senior season Leavitt started all 13 games. Finishing with 94 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 4 interceptions. Leavitt was nice enough to answer some of my questions. Here were his responses.
