Rajon Rondo has been an integral piece to the Lakers second unit. His high basketball iq and experience is highly profound within the Lakers camp. Furthermore, his championship pedigree experience which he acclaimed during his stint with Boston when they won the title back in 2008, has been a perfect compliment for LeBron as he pursues a 4th ring.
The 34-year- old has also been in top shape since the hiatus and had undergone a strict fitness regime. Rondo is aiming to capture his second title and if so will be amongst a few list of players to have won championships with both the Lakers and Celtics.
With this injury Rondo is expected to miss the entirety of the remaining eight regular season games.
So far this season, Rondo has averaged 7.1 points per game, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. Only averaging 20.5 minutes per game.
