The Dolphins and New England have a deep rivalry since they are in the same division. Last season the Dolphins lost the first game 43 – 0 and won the second game 27 – 24. Also, Brian Flores is the former defensive coordinator for the Patriots, which adds some interesting football. The new addition of Cam Newton for New England should add an interesting game plan, compared to Tom Brady. In conclusion, lots of former Patriots are on the Dolphins, so it should be an interesting game between these two teams.
Injury Report
Miami Dolphins
- DB Clayton Fejedelem – Doubtful
New England Patriots
- OL Yodny Cajuste – Out
- LB Cassh Maluia – Questionable
- WR Gunner Olszewski – Out
- TE Dalton Keene – Questionable
- WR N’Keal Harry – Questionable
At the moment, the Patriots are favored to win this game by a point spread of +6.5 points. My prediction for the game is Patriots 20 – Dolphins 17. While the Dolphins have made upgrades, Bill Belichick is still one of the smartest coaches in the NFL and as long as Cam Newton stays healthy they are a scary team to play against.
