Looking at CU’s Schedule

Colorado starts their season this week home against UCLA. We are going to take a look at CU’s schedule and give predictions on what will happen.

November

November 7th- Vs. UCLA

The home opener for the Buffs is their first game against UCLA. Both teams want to improve on how they performed last year and this should be a good game. UCLA has a +6 lead going into the game on Friday. There is a rare chance that Colorado could be over .500. I think that it will be a close game, but since Colorado will have a new QB that UCLA hasn’t seen before, I have the Buffs winning against UCLA by 3, 20-17.

November 14th- @ Stanford

The first away game for the Buffs is a tough one at Stanford. Last year Colorado beat them at home by a score of 16-13. A new quarterback this year and how it is at Stanford makes me more nervous. I still think Colorado could pull it off, if they do it won’t be by much. I can make a prediction that they will barely pull it off again, I think it will be CU on top 13-10.

November 21st- Vs. Arizona St.

This is where it gets tough. ASU was another team last year that was a close game with Colorado. Last year, the score was ASU 34-31. I feel like ASU has more experience than CU does and that will help them with a win. I have ASU winning, 35-10.

November 28th- @ USC

USC is one of the teams that should be top in the division. Even last year, CU gave them a run for their money by losing 31-35. This year is a little different though. With CU having a new quarterback and a first-year head coach, this one is going to be a blowout. I have USC winning this 42-10. This is a tough game for Colorado, especially with all the changes this offseason, but it will be good to see them against some good competition.

December

December 5th- @ Arizona

This game was a toss-up. Last year, Arizona beat CU 30-35 at home. This time, since it is away, ‘Zona has the upper hand. I think that since CU is so raw at QB and HC, this is a game that they lose for that reason. I have ‘Zona, 28-21.

December 11th- Vs. Utah

The last game of the year is against Utah. This Utah team is the real deal last year. They had a chance to make it into the College Football Playoffs last year. I think that this will be a learning game for CU and that it is more on growth than the win. I have to say that Utah will easily win this game 42-14.

Colorado is a very young team with a young coach and an inexperienced QB. This is a year to try to give experience to your QB and head coach for the 2022 season. I say that they will go 2-4 and with a 2-0 start. This is still a pretty big deal, if CU can get a couple wins this season and carry momentum into next, this Buffs team has potential in the future.
