Russell Westbrook Traded to the Lakers
The nine-time All-Star will leave the Washington Wizards after only one season with them, after being traded from the Houston Rockets.

The Wizards are also sending the 2021 second-round pick and 2028 second-round pick to the Lakers.
Westbrook averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 11.7 assists in the 2020/21 season. He had a historic season as it was his fourth season averaging a triple-double.
He also passed Oscar Robertson and now has the most career triple-doubles in NBA history.
The Lakers are trading Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the 22nd pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft.
Westbrook is a 9x all-star, 2x time scoring champion, 3x time assists champion, 9x all-NBA and was the 2016-17 regular season MVP.
The Lakers have needed another playmaker and they got arguably one of the best in the league. They have also created a formidable ‘big three’.
