Towards the end of the 2019 regular season, the Dallas Cowboys signed veteran kicker Kai Forbath after Brett Maher was released. Then in the 2020 offseason, Kai Forbath was resigned to a 1-year contract. Now, the Cowboys are signing another veteran kicker to the team.
Greg Zuerlein Signs Three-Year Deal with Dallas
Meet Greg Zuerlein. Zuerlein was drafted in 2012 by the St. Louis Rams/Los Angeles Rams. The deal for “Greg the Leg” is three years, $7.5 million
Both kickers on the Cowboys roster are really good. But how good are they? Let’s compare, shall we?
Let’s start with Kai Forbath. Kai is best when he is kicking field goals. He is kicking 86 percent while extra points are about 82 percent. As for his counterpart Greg Zuerlein, he is better with extra points at 97 percent. As for Field goals, he kicks 82 percent of them accurately.
It is unclear who will kick in 2020 but whoever it is, that person will be the right fit. It’s been a while since we had a Dan Bailey like kicker and maybe can help the Cowboys go to the postseason.
