As part of the David Nwaba signing the Houston Rockets released second-year center, Isaiah Hartenstein.
Rockets Release Isaiah Hartenstein
NBA sources confirm the #Rockets are waiving Isaiah Hartenstein.

The Rockets had 15 players including two 2 way players and unfortunately, Hartenstein was the odd man out. The second-year center showed promise at times especially in the G-League were he was G League Finals MVP in the 2017-18 season. The Rockets are going all-in on small ball as the move leaves them with only one center on the roster.
The Rockets are back to a full roster so any further moves would involve releasing another player from the roster. Hartenstein averaged 3.1 points 2.7 rebounds in 51 games. Hartenstein had the best game of his career vs the New Orleans Pelicans in December of last year with 19 points and 9 rebounds in 34 minutes.
